My Perfume Addiction

Some people take to the bottle for comfort. Others enjoy a puff or two on their nicotine break. My not so secret addiction however lies in my passion and craze for shopping, specifically perfumes. I adore perfume! It's been my passion since I was a little girl and the addiction keeps on growing, year by year.

A typical perfume relapse begins with a smile when I discover a new perfume store. With ambience this cosy and decor this pretty, it's hard not to be enticed by the store sign, so in we go!


Follow me downstairs as we check out what's waiting for me down below. I feel an automatic adrenaline rush, as more addicts do when they know their fix is coming soon!


The sight of all the lovely scent-sational perfume bottles, in all their splendid glory immediately excites my senses and I am in perfume haven. I can spend hours inside a perfume store, savouring each scent and admiring the beautiful bottles they come in.


I am engrossed and in my delicious deliriousness, I end up buying more than I had come for. But that's how an addiction is. It's hard to stop yourself from wanting more!


I ended up with two of these lovely beauties and only then, did I happily leave the store; content with my perfume fix as I wait for another relapse when I discover yet another new perfume store.

I still say my addiction is much better than those hard-core addictions so there is no urgency or need for me to enroll in one of those anonymous recovery groups just yet. If you however have an addiction you would like to overcome, do give InTheRooms Meetings a visit.
