My second attempt at making Mug Cake was a success, by my standards at least! Thanks to Sushi, for such an easy recipe, I can now make and enjoy yummy, moist and fluffy chocolate cake, anytime I want! The best part of this recipe is that I do not need an oven to bake the cake in as you only need to have a microwave oven! Awesome right?
The first time I made Mug Cake, it turned out a tad too dry and not as fluffy or moist as I'd like it to be. This time around, I made sure I followed the measurements carefully and added slightly more oil to my mixture. I also remembered to use the tip LadyJava gave me - place a cup of water inside the microwave oven while the mug cake is cooking. This adds a little moisture and avoids the dryness that comes with microwave cooking.
My Mug Cake turned out really well and YUMMY so I was pretty proud of myself LOL! It was moist on the inside and on the outside too, and when I tipped it over, there was even a little chocolate topping on top so I didn't even have to add chocolate sauce or anything on it! It was so yummy and B gave me 4.5 stars for my Mug Cake! :)
And like I mentioned earlier, the recipe works with a microwave oven, so for people like me who do not own an oven, this is your answer to having instant chocolate cake any time of the day or night! Don't forget to eat it while it's warm!
Mug Cake
-Ingredients:
* 1 small egg
* 4 tbsp milk
* 4 tbsp vegetable oil
* 2 level tbsp cocoa powder
* 4 level tbsp sugar
* 4 level tbsp flour
* 1/2 level tsp baking powder
1. First "sift" the egg through a sieve and into a 300ml mug. Beat well with a fork.
2. Add oil, milk, sugar and cocoa powder and beat more until blended.
3. Add flour, baking powder and beat gently until fully incorporated.
4. Microwave on full power for 3 minutes and you're done!
Making chocolate cake has never been easier with this simple recipe. Thanks again Sushi! Now I can indulge in sinfully rich, sweet chocolate dessert, any time I get a choc attack! :)

I'm going to keep the mug cake in reserve for now...my girls have convinced me to bake them a sandcastle cake for their seashell painting party on Wednesday, but my last sandcastle cake crumbled as if some mean boy had squashed it on the beach! So I may have to whip up 10 to 12 mug cakes at the last minute.
