As much as I loved and rooted for the two Davids in last season's American Idol, I've always had a soft spot for little David or David Archuleta. When I first saw him auditioning for AI, I was totally mesmerized by his vocal prowess and knew he would go far in the competition. I was amazed that a young boy possessed such immense talent, sufficient to wow me each time he belts out a tune. And the finesse of real emotions he portrays when expressing any song, never fails to bring me into the meaning of the song. Add to that the clarity of his sweet voice and the way he tenderly caresses each word, David A. is definitely a heartthrob in the making!
So several weeks back, when a little birdy by the name of Debbie (who by the way just launched her new online craft store called Crafty Heart) told me that David A. had his first single out, I immediately hopped over to You Tube to check it out and all I can say is that I love the new "Crush" single by David A.!
Suitable for his age and genre, David's Crush single brings out some of the best aspects of his wonderful voice, immediately taking me back to when I had my first crush as a teenager. I am not a big fan of Archuleta, but I kinda enjoy this song too. As you said, it's suitable for his age. This song beats David Cook's first single in terms of downloaded quantity in the first week of its release too!
