Who Won the MPG Bear? *

The MPG Bear is extremely vain. She surrounds herself with the sweetest of scents and loves being admired. A nice display case to showcase her pretty fluffiness is where she really likes to show off her fancy self.

The MPG Bear loves the idea of being in the company of so many handsome suitors and friends to make her feel like a princess. She loves perfumes and everything sweet and spends hours picking out her favourite scent before her day out. She also loves the colour pink, which explains the pretty pink scarf she wraps around herself.

What she loves most is a nice fancy name to go with her glamour bear exterior, which is why she was fashionably late in choosing the beary best name for herself! Though she loved all the names suggested for her, the MPG Bear has at long last settled on one befitting such a pretty bear.

Thank you for all the lovely names you have given to my MPG Bear. I received 19 entries in total, 3 more than the entries I received for BEAR-iuca. Once again I had the most difficult time choosing the most suitable name and reason for wanting to bring home my teddy but after much thought and changing of mind, I have decided to present this fluffy pinky bear to the person who aptly named this bear ... Chanel!

Firstly, I have always loved the name Chanel! Aside from being a classic scent in the perfume world I love so true, it is also a sweet yet very glamorous name, especially for a teddy bear. The person who named this bear Chanel is Janice, who just so happens to be my very first MPG friend and fan! We both became fast friends when we discovered our love for perfumes. In fact, Janice has a pretty impressive collection of perfumes as well, confirming her love for perfume just like me. I mean, you can easily say that you love perfumes but to own an expansive perfume collection like the one here at MPG, signify her perfume passion to the fullest.

Janice also has a huge teddy bear collection, which is just as amazing as her perfume collection. She has three glass cabinets filled with so many different types of teddy bears and my favourite one is definitely her Mummy Egyptian Bear! Having Chanel in a lovely home with so many teddy bear friends to keep her company will put my mind at ease, knowing that Chanel will never be lonely, surrounded by so many other furry friends. :)

The MPG Teddy Bear Contest is also the very first one I am having here at Mariuca's Perfume Gallery and Janice saw the significance in that by quoting it in her lovely poem for me, thank you for noticing Jan!

By chance we met
So into perfume we both are
How can I miss not bringing home
A scent-sational bear from the first contest!!
Chanel, a name I chose for her
And can't wait to bring her home ...

Janice named the bear Chanel, which as we all know is all about perfume, one of the most famous ones in the world too! By cleverly combining my favourite thing in the world (perfume) with my adorable teddy bear here, she has successfully defined the true meaning of what MPG is all about ... my love for perfume. Being one of my first few friends here at my perfume gallery, Janice deserves to bring home Chanel. She totally understands the reason behind this blog and has always been a true MPG Fan since day one; her love and devotion for MPG culminating into Chanel - the perfect for my MPG Bear! So congratulations Jan, YOU WON and I am so happy to send off little Chanel to live in Singapore with the rest of your teddy bear collection! :)
