This week carries a special theme of Classic favourites and it is now down to the 3 remaining Blog Idol contestants. As the last girl standing, I am so pleased to present the aptly titled Woman by John Lennon as my chosen number for Classic Songs week on Blog Idol. This song also hails from my favourite 80s genre by the way.
Written by Lennon as an ode to his wife Yoko Ono, Woman is truly a classic love song with such beautiful meaning behind its simple words. Sometimes it is the simplest of words that conveys the most and this song epitomizes exactly that. Simple straightforward sincerity voiced through a beautiful love song that will remain in the hearts of lovers everywhere, forever and ever...
