December Top 10 Mariucans *

If my previous post focused on my new Top Commentator of the Week widget, this one goes out to my Top 10 Mariucans in December! Yup, I did not forget about you guys. Perhaps I'm a little late in posting my thank you post but nonetheless, GP did not forget! ;)

Before I reveal the names of my Top 10 Mariucans for December, allow me to bring your attention to the new JS-Kit Comments Service, which I recently adopted here at MPG. If you are skeptical and unsure on how to use this new comment form, let me assure you that you are not alone! I was pretty much in the dark too when I first saw my buddy LJ using it at her blog. As enticed as I was to follow suit and make that switch, I needed to find out more about its features and compatibility with my blogger platform. So I spent a month having fun at LJ's comment form, figuring out the new features, all the while monitoring the TC widget to see if the new JS-Kit will pick up comments from those who commented to count towards the final figure displayed on the TC widget. When I was finally and truly satisfied that the new comment form fulfilled all my needs, I made the switch three days ago and MPG is now happily using the JS-Kit! :)

Thanks to the JS-Kit, I now have smileys to express my mood while commenting. I am also able to upload pictures and videos on the comment form, how cool is that? The fact that I can now reply my comments directly below the comment itself, so readers need not have to scroll all the way down to the comment form to read my response to a particular comment, is yet another plus! Oh and my favourite feature is definitely the ability to respond to my comments via email, which is really so much easier and faster!

As you can see, I am loving my new comment platform and am hoping to have it over at Wishing on a Falling Star as well. Unfortunately, there seems to be some sort of error with importing my old comments from WOAFS into the new system. Each time I try to import my comments, it will only reach to 23,000 comments before the importing halts; failing to connect me to step 2 of the integration process. Anyway, I've written to the nice people at JS and am now waiting for them to work out a solution for my problem. In the meantime, MPG is already using the JS-Kit and I hope you find it as entertaining and fun as I do.

We were all pretty much lost when the TC widget decided to act up and changed the figures around, but those of you who persisted and continued commenting truly deserve the top 10 recognition here at Mariuca's Perfume Gallery.
