I got the sweetest gift from MIL yesterday. We broke our fast with her as we usually do on weekends and she gave me my birthday gift after dinner. I was already smiling to see the present wrapped so beautifully and I didn't want to open it yet because I wanted to take a picture of it first. Of all the days, I forgot to bring my trusty camera with me but MIL insisted I opened it then. She wanted to see my reaction!
As much as I wanted to tear open the wrapper, it was just too beautiful so I took my time untying the bow and unwrapping the pretty paper MIL used to wrap my gift. Inside was a beautiful deep rose hand-made bag, which MIL is famous for. She doesn't make this specific bag often and though she gets lots of orders from her craft students and friends for the bag, it takes time for her to come up with one. I know she's been secretly working on my birthday gift for several months now but I didn't know just how much I would love it!
It means the world to me that MIL put in so much effort and time into perfecting this bag. There was also a birthday bookmark, which she ordered from her friend just for me. Noticed the cat in the bookmark? MIL later told me that she had to source for the materials from several different craft shops. Each square patch that you see is delicately made using six layers of inside materials and lining to give this lovely bag the shape it has. The best part of it all is that this bag can be washed in the washing machine, which is great since I'm so lazy when it comes to washing or cleaning or taking care of my bags! 
I adore my new bag! It's the best birthday gift I've received from someone in the longest time and for that MIL received two very big warm birthday hugs from me! Thank you so much for remembering me in the sweetest, most meaningful way on my birthday.
