Pinky is home and what a relief to have her back in full working condition! Yes, I can laugh about my dramatic post now but at the time of writing, I felt hopeless; convinced I'd never get her back in one piece. Anyway, that's all history for she is fine and if I had known sooner it was due to a mere faulty device, I would have fixed her up sooner. 
The thing is I had my back-up PC as alternative, which means I was not totally shunned from the internet. So I took my own sweet time in sending Pinky to Digital Mall in PJ where we headed straight for the Dell store. Within minutes, it was ascertained that Pinky's adapter was the culprit which caused her refusal to switch on.
I was certain her problem had nothing to do with the adapter for two simple reasons. Firstly, I just had my first adapter replaced with a brand new one from Dell about two months back so I did not expect this second one to be faulty so soon. Second reason was the adapter light showed perfectly when I switched it on so I totally ruled out my adapter as the reason. I was convinced it was either the battery or MoBo, which would have definitely cost me a bomb!
Thank goodness the adapter for my Inspiron 1420 was in stock so I quickly purchased one and brought Pinky home. The damage? RM170 only.
So I'm back to being happy and a little pampering is in order to compensate for the stress I endured thinking the worst for poor Pinky. Happy Sunday everybody, I'm off to the hair salon now!

Glad to hear your beloved Pinky is back... it is ridiculous but I've gotten used to the fact that I need two almost identical HP notebooks since one of them is always "in the shop."

I love Dell, HP, Benq and Asus. May be, i ll try ASUS for my future lappy. : )
Though i love the idea of netbook, but i dont think netbook is for me. 14" is the Goldilocks for me, not to big, not to small, AHA :-D

It's not like i have a backup PC or anything.. I just have my external harddrive (which i just bought last week.. - FINALLY)..

I like both laptop and PC actually Rizal... cause laptop convenient to move around but PC feels more steady for me. However, my lappy is obviously more powerful than my PC cause lappy baru beli while PC dah lama.. so lappy is my main use now...
